2020年東京奧運會也越來越近了，香港劍擊也進入了全面備戰東京奧運會的節奏。 2020年東京奧運會劍擊項目設有 男子個人，男子團體、女子個人，女子團體、等１２個項目，最近香港男子花劍隊在花劍世界盃聖彼得堡站歷史性摘銀後週二凱旋，主教練汪昌和法籍新教練Greg Koenig 功勞不少。香港花劍隊奪得佳績，許多人問是否他們可以獲得奧運入場券，他們爭逐東奧入場券還有漫漫長路，下面我們就重點分析一下劍擊資格如何誕生。 第31屆奧運會劍擊設12個項目。即男子花劍、重劍、佩劍個人賽；男子重劍、佩劍團體賽；女子花劍、重劍、佩劍個人賽；女子花劍、佩劍團體賽。 資格體系細則 1）. 有團體及個人的劍種選拔方法 【團體】 團體賽的選拔 每個團體由3名運動員組成，即每個劍種8個隊共24人，再加上主辦國代表隊 選拔辦法如下：
1.國際劍聯FIE 團體正式排名表前四名（不考慮所在洲）。
2.國際劍聯FIE 團體正式排名表中每個洲排名最高的隊 【個人】 1.每個劍種，獲得團體賽參加資格的24名運動員自動獲得資格。
2.國際劍聯的個人正式排名，選出6名各大洲排名最靠前的
