No More Free Warnings: The New Non-Combativity Rule Explained ｜ 消極比賽新規 t.124 解讀

On 13 August 2026, the Fencing Association of Hong Kong, China (FAHKC) announced that the updated FIE Rule t.124 applies with immediate effect at all competitions it organises or co-organises. If your child fences in local events, this change affects them.

2026年8月13日，中國香港劍擊總會（FAHKC）向所有會員發出通告：經修訂的國際劍聯（FIE）規則 t.124 即時生效，適用於所有由總會主辦及合辦的比賽。如果你的小朋友有參加本地比賽，呢個改動就同佢有關。

What is non-combativity? ｜ 甚麼是「消極比賽」？

Non-combativity means both fencers are waiting and not trying to score. The rule kicks in after one minute of fencing without a touch.

消極比賽，即係兩位劍手都喺度等，冇主動爭取得分。當比賽進行咗一分鐘都冇人得分，就會觸發呢條規則。

What was the rule before? ｜ 以前點樣罰？

The first time it happened, both fencers got a warning, the "P-yellow card", and nobody lost anything.

以前第一次出現消極比賽，雙方只會收到警告，即係「P黃牌」，大家都唔使失分。

What is the rule now? ｜ 而家點樣罰？

• The P-yellow card is gone.

• First time: both fencers get a P-red card straight away, and each fencer's opponent gets 1 point.

• Second time: a P-black card is given straight away. The fencer with the lower score gets it and loses the bout. If the scores are equal, it goes to the fencer with the lower initial seeding.

• P黃牌已經取消。

• 第一次：雙方即時各得一張P紅牌，即係對手各加1分。

• 第二次：即時出示P黑牌。分數較低嘅一方會收到，並輸掉該場比賽；如果雙方同分，就由初始排名（種子排位）較低嘅一方收牌。

When does it apply? ｜ 幾時適用？

• Only in direct elimination bouts and team matches, not in pool bouts.

• The one-minute count restarts after every touch and at the start of each period.

• No P-card is given at 14-14 in individual bouts or at 44-44 in team matches.

• 只適用於淘汰賽及團體賽，小組循環賽（pool）並不適用。

• 每次有人得分後，以及每一節開始時，一分鐘都會重新計算。

• 個人賽 14-14、團體賽 44-44 時，唔會出示P牌。

Why does this matter to you? ｜ 對你有甚麼影響？

There's no free warning any more. If you wait and play safe, you give points away, and a second time could end your bout. Fencers who are behind or seeded lower carry the most risk. In Hong Kong's youth events, many DE bouts are tight and cautious, especially in épée, so this rule will change how those bouts are fenced.

以後再冇「免費警告」。如果你只係企喺度等、打得太保守，就會白白送分俾對手，第二次更可能直接輸咗場比賽。落後或者排名較低嘅劍手風險最大。香港青少年比賽入面，好多淘汰賽都打得好緊、好謹慎，尤其係重劍，所以呢條規則會改變呢類比賽嘅打法。

What we'll practise in class ｜ 我哋上堂會練習甚麼

• Always fence with a plan: prepare, attack, or set up an action.

• Use your footwork to create chances instead of standing still.

• Learn to read the clock and stay active when the score is tight.

• 每一劍都要有計劃：準備、進攻，或者製造進攻機會。

• 用步法去製造機會，唔好企定定。

• 學識睇時間，比分接近時都要保持主動。

Our coaches will go through this in training, and we'll practise DE bouts under the new rule. Please ask your coach if you have any questions.
