Parents’ Winning strategies - Preparing for Fencing Competition

Your children have signed up for upcoming competiton , they (including yourself ) may feel a little nervous , pressure ,worry ,etc especially if they are joining a big scale competiton for first time

It's essential to manage both your expectations and those of your children in order to create a positive and empowering experience for everyone involved.

Strategy 1

it's important to acknowledge the challenging nature of the competition. The level of competition can be intense, with participants who have dedicated considerable time and effort to honing their abilities. Encourage your children to embrace the challenge and approach it as an opportunity for growth and learning.

Strategy 2

it's equally important to emphasize that success in the competition isn't solely defined by winning. While winning is undoubtedly a wonderful outcome, there are many other valuable aspects to be gained from participating in such a high-level event. Encourage your children to focus on their personal progress, the team spirit , and the joy of being part of a passionate fencing community.

Strategy 3

Remind them that every competitor faces hurdles and setbacks along their journey. It's through overcoming these challenges that true growth and character development occur. Encourage them to give their best effort, stay positive, and never be discouraged by temporary setbacks. Remind them that their hard work and dedication will pay off in the long run.

Strategy 4

As parents, it's important for us to support our children wholeheartedly, regardless of the outcome. Our role is to provide a nurturing and encouraging environment, where they feel safe to take risks and learn from both successes and failures. Remind them that you are proud of their commitment and progress, regardless of the final results.

Strategy 5

Lastly, let's remember that the journey is just as important as the destination. By participating in this competition, your children are demonstrating their courage, resilience, and determination. They are already winners for taking on such a challenging endeavor.

We have full confidence in your children's abilities and know that they will give their best effort. Let's approach the competition with realistic expectations, a positive mindset, and a focus on personal growth. Together, we can create a memorable and empowering experience for everyone involved.🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻
